To read......to write content.......make videos........
Rough life, but he does that ALL of the time anyhow!!!
BUT, thank YOU, Franco.....you got me thinking!!!
When a bridge is out……
We get frustrated…..put out……
You have to find a different way to your destination…..
It is an inconvenience……
BUT……it is ONLY a convenience…..
Because we have grown accustom to it……
Could YOU imagine what it was like……
100 years ago…….or 200 years ago???
Take yourself back…..
The first Pioneers that headed west…….
What did they do when they stumbled upon……
The Great Mississippi River???
How WILL they get to the other side???
How did they get across???
It took some ingenuity at first……
They cut down some trees…..
Tied them together into a raft…..
I’m sure they lost some belongings…..
Not being proficient raft builders…..
As time worn on……
More Pioneers moved west…..
Settlements started popping up on the east side……
Free thinking, entrepreneurial types set up shop…..
Built sturdy barges to cross the river…..
They charged people to cross the river…..
Multiple barge owners popped up…..
Vying to take your money to help you……
To get acrossed the river!!
You had three choices to get across the river…..
The first way was all by yourself…..
Cut down some trees…..
Tie them together……
Load your belongings…..
Your livestock…..
Your wagon……
And your family……
Hopefully you got it all across…..
Some things would fall off…..
Some of it lost forever…..
But under your OWN ingenuity and determination……
You got across the river to the next Frontier!!
Your next option was around the riverbank settlement……
You looked for the barge owners set up there…..
You found the man that looked like he knew his business…..
He had the biggest signs…..
Talked the loudest……and fastest……
”Sure Buddy, I can get you across!!!”
“I need this much money, upfront……”
“We will load up and leave at the first dawn!!”
You get there the next morning……
Find the barge and owner long gone…..
Later that day, the barge returns…..
A different man is operating it…..
He has no idea who YOU are……
Or anything about the other guy…..
Or where your money is!!!
The third option takes a little time…..
You start asking the towns folk…..
Who the most reputable barge operator…..
Once you start getting a significant responses…..
Concerning the same man…..
You approach him, to talk to him…..
You find he is far different than the first guy….
He agrees to make sure everything you own…..
Gets safely to the other side…….
BEFORE he takes your money!!!
Okay…….back to reality……
The river you have before YOU, is LIFE…..
You want to travel from the side of…….
The employee-minded person…..
To the home business Entrepreneurside……
You can go the route as my Pioneers did……
Do it ALL by yourself…..
It takes longer to get there…..
You get some bumps and bruises along the way…..
Not saying it is not satisfying to….
”Do It Yourself”!!!
BUT, you have to stay focused….
Determined…….
Focused…….
Stick-to-it-ness…….
And did I mention, stay focused????
The next option is look for help……
To the first guy you see……
Big signs…..
Big hype…..
Fast talking……
Promises you the sun, moon, and stars……
And then disappears with your money…..
Never to be seen again……
And there you stand on the riverbank……
Wondering, “what the heck???”
Finally……you ask around…..
You ask others, who they suggest…..
Who they recommend…..
Once you start hearing a name…..
Over and over again……
You then go and talk to him……
Or HER………
People that have been there, done that…..
For a number of years…..
Their training is dripping with INTEGRITY……
You would be a fool to not follow them…..
Listen to them…..
Eat the crumbs from their table…..
Just to get to where YOU belong…..
Across the river!!!
